Title: 3D card woes!
Post by: DaleMedicine on 30 Sep 2005, 16:39:37
Is it just me or does anyone else get the message that there's not enough video memory to run Flashpoint if you've got loads of stuff in your Addons folder?

It never happened on my previous computer but I didn't have nearly as many as I have now.
the new 3D card is a RADEON 9600.

Could somebody shed some light on my predicament because I'm sick and tired of moving addon files!!!

Thanks.

Use -nomap after your shortcut.

Quote
"C:\Program Files\Codemasters\Operation Flashpoint\FLASHPOINTRESISTANCE.EXE" -nomap
FYI:

Also investigate the use of modfolders

Also, things like this are best posted on the official forums.  :)

DaleMedicine,

Welcome to the forum!

This is a well known problem and Mr N's advice is quite right.    He's also right that the official forums and the Avon Lady's excellent site are the best places for technical support.  OFPEC is an OFP editing site, not a general OFP site, so I'll have to lock this.   But we hope to see you back soon when you get stuck with a mission editing question.  :)
