I was thinking - and this is a big job for me so give me some credit ;D
Wouldnt it be easier for OFPEC to issue each individual member with their own specific board concerning all areas of Operation Flashpoint instead of each person starting a new thread for each problme, question etc that they have ?
Looking at how many members are allready members of OFPEc it is a stupid idea to come up with it now and to start (if possible) - but if OFPEC was to relaunch in the future would this be a good idea - or not ?
What ya think people ?

well seeing how there are over 7000+ members at last count...
don't sound too feasible to me ::)
There are 19 boards now....
so you want to add another 6981+ boards? :-\

If u read it properly or was it me not explaining it clealry - i said that if you were to relaunch and members have to reregister it might be a good idea

it wont b god cuz dere wil alwayz new members ;) - we can just go on relunchin everytime we reach 100 :D

now now rhysduk, just because your idea was trashed, doesn't mean it's not an idea. Ok so it's a very very bad idea, but still.
YaBB doesn't support any kind of feature where it would be possible to add a new boad (by user name for example). So it would mean that a forum admin would have to create all the new boards by hand.
With thousands of boards there would be thousands of checkboxes on he search page.
With thousands of boards there would have to be hundreds of moderators.

I like the way it is know... But I miss the scripting board. If u ask me u should shut down the advanced board and start up the scripting board again. But whatever.
And pssst! I know where the dictionary is. IÂ'll only take 5 bucks for it. ;) ;D

First of all, this is a multi-cultural, multi-national board. Not everyone speaks or writes perfect "Queen's English" ;)
Secondly, I thought the same thing when I joined but you get used to it in no time. hint "read slowly"
Personally, I like it.
It's LCD's thing and it works for him. When people start telling me I have to type a certain way or speak a certain way, then I'm gone!
By the way, take a quick look at your posts - the spelling isn't perfect and the punctuation isn't great either (neither is mine) :P Some people may have trouble reading your posts as well.
I think there are bigger and better topics to address in these forums than the format of one's posts. No need to flame when you don't get the answer you were looking for ;D
It's all about the love baby, you'll KNOW when to take it personally and when not to.

We always appreciate feedback on possible ideas to run OFPEC better.
For a smaller forum, this idea could be workable.
Unfortunately, of the 7000+ members we currently have, at least 1000 are constantly (ie: posting nearly everyday) active.
This is the third time OFPEC has restarted its forums since I've been here, and the numbers you see are indicative of how quickly we grow.
So thanks for the suggestion, :thumbsup: but this one's just a little beyond our means.
