Recently, my OFP Resistance 1.96 stopped playing any sound. I used ECP for a while (sound worked perfectly), but since it disables some scripting options (from what I know), I decided to re-install my OFP GOTY. I reinstalled and still had same problem. I suspected I had overloaded it with addons, so I deleted some (non-BIS made) ones.
Sound now works perfectly. So, my question is, was this caused by some bad addon or did I overload my OFP with addons?

Hi Krieg,
Been a while since I used OFP, but I don't ever recall having "too many addons" or hearing about that as a problem.
How many addons are we talking about ?
I suspect its more likely that you have addon conflicts.

Around 210 before I deleted 30 of them.
Edit: And the ones I deleted were RHS's Tanks, Naval, and Infantry addons plus Laser's Deltas and US Weapons.

There were problems with having too many addons installed, but I don't recall losing sound as being one of the symptoms. The general cure was to add -nomap to the shortcut path used to launch Flashpoint
ie. Target = "...\<OFP>\FlashpointResistance.exe -nomap"
As suggested before, the best method to avoid such conflicts is:
1. Use ModFolders - see Hawkins' Tutorial (http://www.ofpec.com/ed_depot/index.php?action=details&id=340)
2. Use Kegetys' OFP Launcher (http://www.ofpec.com/ed_depot/index.php?action=details&id=329)
If you use ModFolders, you won't have to re-install OFP since no vital files are overwritten.
