Title: mount empty tank

When I play as leader in my mission, I can mount an empty tank to man it's gun, if I use teamswitch to change to a member of my squad, I cannot get in the tank??

Nope, unless your group leader orders you to get in the tank.
BUT, you may use allowGetIn (http://www.ofpec.com/COMREF/index.php?action=list&game=All&letter=a#19) command to override that.

init field of any of the units, for example the original leader:

units group this allowGetIn true
