Title: Arrest Script

Hallo,

i have finished my Arrest Script for OFP. I works as follow:

Point your gun into the direction of the guys you want to arrest
Select "Yell "Drop your Weapon" out of the Action menu"
All the bad guy go prone, drop their weapon and raise their hands
You go near, take their weapons and search them
Some decide (one out of ten) to get back their weapon and fight
when you have their weapon the message "Captured" comes and the unit joins you.

All Improvement ideas, bugs, etc. are welcome

(Attached is a demo mission for this script)

Good i downloaded the previous version of this and it worked fine. I'll check this out for u  ;D . I need it for a mission i'm making as well.

I tried it out...yeah it good...but if I want to make it so I can arrest more people how do I do it??

I think dnt u just add all the people u want to arrest in the init.sqs part.

Seemed to work ok but after a few seconds of being arrested, the detainees picked up their weapons and shot me.
Was that supposed to happen? I didn't pick up their guns as instructed, maybe I'll try that out tonight...it was late last night when I tried it.
Also, there is usually one guy who doesn't get arrested, I can do 2 out of the 3 but one keeps his rifle.
Other than that it worked and I can see how it could be useful, thanks for posting it.

Haven't checked the script but id recommend doing a unit count for the player and detainee groups.. only let them surrender if ur group is of a greater size than theres... altho it could be a condition for executing the script.

nice script, works good but in my mission I cant take the prisoners in my group so insted of having them join you could it be posible to have a action that says, "send somone to escort the prisoners back to HQ"  or somthing and then if you do activate it. a dialog says, select the man in your group and hold alt-shift to send that man to escort the prisoners. and then the prisoners join that persons group and he escorts them to a mission editor designated marker, and then they leave his group and he comes back to the player.

possible?

It is possible. But i had to make some changes. Changed version will take about one week. Also implementing the MP part.

Sounds good trying it out now! Just 1 suggestion:

There should be another way of "arresting" people in OFP were they teleport/automatically walk to jail instead of join you. Otherwise, more realistically, you should be able to drop them off at the jail.
