Title: Dividing into addon free and addon
Post by: penguinman on 10 Jul 2006, 19:48:22
hello,

I thought of an idea for the missions beta testing board.

what if you were to split it in two semi-boards, Addon missions, and addon free missions,

somepeople wont test a mission with addons and some people only test missions with addons,

it would make the testing process go faster and more efficialntly i think.

thanks

Make it faster how? By gaining the 5 secs it takes to look up the 1st post in the topic and check if the mission uses addons? ;)

Segmenting is always good, but I don't think in this particular case it's enough for adding yet another board to what's already a long list of boards.

Back before the "great crash" there were very good plans for improving the board structure. Some of the ideas got implemented already then, but I guess the rest got lost when the site went down.

One beta board for missions is enough :)

well what if we left it to one board
, but put the topic titles for addon missions if green, and addon free in red,

Unfortunately we're not in a position to create 'categories' for threads... we change the colour if the thread is sticky, or not, but we can't have different colours for different threads otherwise.

You could always do something like:

[Official] Beta mission 1
[UnOfficial] Beta mission 2

in the thread titles if you'd like. Of course, this would be completely voluntary by all posters on that forum.
Otherwise you'll still have to click on the thread and scroll down until you see the required addons listed ;)
