Title: Short cutscene in the mission's overview
Post by: Captain Crunch on 08 Apr 2007, 15:50:50
How do I get to show a cutscene instead of a picture in the overview? Anyone knows? I have unPBOed the campaign file and looked in scpecific mission folders where there are cutscenes in the campaign but can't figure out how it works. Thanx for your help.

Do you have an example of where this is used, because I have never read this before?

Do you mean the intro of a mission or the overview itself?

I think he means those intel screens on the campaign where you have a small window showing a cutscene and next to it you have the selectable missions, primary or auxiliary..

Those are done with a dialog, and the only way to do that is to have a briefingless mission that only contains the cutscene stuff and the dialog, that's how I understood they are done in the campaign..
Those are the missions startring with S, like S02BeatenDog.Sara..

Yup h-, that's the way they are done. It looks like a lot of work has gone into those cutscenes. Not sure if we can now view videos in dialogs?

@h-

Yes, this is what I meant. I have downloaded GameCam and thought I could use it to add in a mission overview. But if the mission has to be briefingless, plus if it is complicated to do this, then I guess it's not really worth it. A good old picture says it all anyway.
