(maybe it is the totally wrong area to post this).
Noticing that the OFP AddOn Files getting larger and larger, i got the following idea:
Making the OFPEC Snail Mail service !
After selecting 650 MB AddOns from a list i will burn them on a CD and send them to you charging only (self costs) lets say 3$ for the CD.
The other idea i had was to make a OFP AddOn DVD: A DVD which contains all OFP AddOns/missions/etc. nicely sorted and send it to all who wish it for (self costs) lets say 10$ for the DVD.
This will allow the OFP fans in rather remote locations to enjoy the newest OFPEC AddOns/missions/etc. What do you think about it ? Or are there legal problems ? Would you use such a service.
Waiting for comments

To avoid possible legal repercussions, just have an advertisement like this:
"Donate just $3 or more to OFPEC, and we'll send you a free CD loaded with OFP's best addons."
-
Make a poll of this with
1) "Yes, I could use such a service"
2) "No, I would have no use for such thing"
-
I would rather donate to OFPEC and see it as a gift than donate to OFPEC and see it as I'm buying a product.

Some people might not want their mods sold, esspecially if they dont recieve any money from it.

He he, this idea springs forth again. ;)
The problem is that to pursue this option thru OFPEC, the following would happen:
1. Our host would see it as "trading in goods", and this will force us off of our current plan and onto a much more expensive commercial hosting plan.
2. The offshoot of that is that we'd have to start charging enough to profit off of the CD's, not just enough to cover costs.
3. The end result of making profit from OFP Addons is that we'd drop ourselves in the crapper with BIS for making money off of addons in breach of their licences (EULA & Breathe).
So all in all, the idea of burning & shipping CD's is not one we can pursue.
But as always, we welcome suggestions and appreciate the thought. :)

Oops, I've already spent my share of the profits. ;D
Oh well, back to sweeping chimneys it is. ::)
