For example, say your primary weapon is an M16 and you pick up a mine and a satchel. In the next mission, using fillWeaponsFomPool will merely give you 4 M16 magazines - assuming there are M16 mags in the magazinepool: the mine and satchel will be gone, even using loadStatus. Even if you left the previous mission with more than 4 M16 mags, there will still only be 4, and the M16 won't be loaded at the start of the next mission - unless you go through the briefing screen first.
To make sure a unit's loadout remains true to the previous mission, use loadStatus on its own.
