The introduction to One Shot One Kill is really well done. The intro is simple and basically includes some well chosen custom music with a barrage of subtitles. The author has done an excellent job creating suspense and building up your enthusiasm before you play. The MP lobby allows you to disable the intro which is always a nice feature!
The briefing is very detailed with lots of intel about the hit you're going to make on General Ortega, including a picture of the General himself. The plan has listed 6 objectives to complete, each linked and labelled with a marker.
Be sure to read over the plan before you begin. You don't want to waste much time once you head into battle!
The first couple of objectives involve a great deal of stealth. If you alert the enemy, you can fight you're way out but it would definitely end with a casualty or two. You really want to sneak into one of 3 sniper positions so that you can find a good place for the 'One Shot One Kill' objective. The author has included a 'Stay Frosty' script which allows you to order 'hold fire' quick and easily for the AI units you command.
Some of the objectives can be completed in one or more fashions, for instance there are two locations to find the rifle at.
One Shot One Kill requires lots of patience, once your in place for the kill it can take a bit of time to flip to the scene where the General strolls in. This is where you want good coordination and communication with the other players.
The mission includes group respawn only so be sure that the leader has control of the AI units.
One Shot One Kill is an excellent piece of entertainment. The author has put his all into this mission and it is really evident as you play through. This mission provides some great atmosphere for the player and in my book its a keeper for the server. Great work!
