DayZ mod shares the infection

It's only been a handfull of weeks since the debut of the Dayz Mod to our Armaverse but already, it's infecting gamers world wide. Arma 2 sales have rocketed to the top 5 on Steam and is showing no slow down.

Dean "Rocket" Hall, a former New Zealand military veteran has busted the flood gates open for Bohemia Interactive and allowed them to showcase the Real Virtuality Engine in all of it's glory to the rest of the gaming world. What dedicated fans have known for over a decade, the world is beginning to learn, that there is nothing to be compared to the RVE's open world potential.

It's not enough to say that DayZ is emmersive. Still in it's alpha testing phase, it has attracted more addicts than many drugs and holds huge promise for the future of all gaming. It was only a matter of time before something so great as the RVE was given the recognition it deserves and who could have guessed that the world's fear of infectious disease and love of being scared breathless would ignite the fire. I for one, have waited for this game engine to shine in the spotlight and am proud to be a supporter of Bohemia Interactive and their great love for community.

For more information on the DayZ mod and to get in on the fun of testing and providing feedback, check out the official DayZ site.
