OFPEC will be undergoing many changes over the next little while. The intent is to improve the overall site design and navigation between depots...
In the past couple of weeks OPFEC has received several donations from our community members. The staff at OFPEC would like to thank those who have donated monetarily, as it is these donations that keep OFPEC going month after month, year after year and the cash is really appreciated. All cash donations received by OFPEC go directly to paying our hosting costs, so without those donations OFPEC would not have been around this long! Keep them coming!
There are donations of another kind that also don't go unnoticed! Sometimes it's in the form of one member's time answering another member's question, or members providing feedback for the Mission Depot's beta testing boards, some times the donation comes from the OFPEC staff, giving their time to add resources to the Editors Depot or completing a review in the Missions Depot for everyone to enjoy.
Whatever type of donation, all are very welcome here at OFPEC!
The OFPEC Staff!
By the community, for the community!
OFPEC's Faces Library has grown to 255 faces donated by community members like you!

Cheetah has been busy updating and fixing various aspects of OFPEC. You may have already noticed that you can sort items in the each of the depots now, this was in direct response to the 2007 Member Survey we completed at the end of the year.
Cheetah has also developed RSS feeds for the various depots. If you want to use the RSS feeds in your site then go right ahead, you can receive the updates as they are available on OFPEC, drop us a line to let us know your using the feeds!
RSS junkies can access the feeds here!
As you might of noticed there have been small updates here and there to good 'ol OFPEC. We don't always make a big deal about the minor stuff, but sometimes addressing many minor items helps with the overall experience for our OFPEC users. Bedges worked diligently on some of these features so I thought I would take a minute to highlight some of the more important items. Many other changes are happening behind the scenes to help improve the reliability and overall functionality of the site, these are just a select few...
| Today, OFPEC is unveiling its Faces Library! We have added 120+ Armed Assault faces created by 'wipman' from over at the Bohemia Interactive forums, we have also dug deep into our archives and pulled out 120 or so Operation Flashpoint faces. The faces are used to dress up your player profile and add a little bit of spice to your online experience! Feel free to add your face to our collection today! |
We'll be making some minor changes to the site code over this coming weekend, so if anything looks out of place in the meantime, we are aware of it and we will be fixing it. Only the Depots will be affected and the Forum will run as usual.
Thanks, as ever, for your patience.
The sharper-eyed among you will have noticed the appearance of stars around the site recently, here on the frontpage and now in the Editors and Missions Depots. This is the new User Rating system which enables you to assign 1-5 stars to the resources on the site according to how helpful you find them.
The Rating shown is the average of all votes cast - hover over the image to see how many people have rated any given resource. In due course we'll add the ability to filter resource lists according to their user rating, but for now get clicking!
The OFPEC Tags database is back online! There is a bit of a new look and in the backend changes were made to make the system more reliable. The most notable change is the addition of addon signature keys. Feel free to add your public key!
We have received a couple of requests for transfer of ownership of tags, those will be done very soon, if you wish to transfer ownership then drop one of the OFPEC admins a pm.
We also have 131 tags with incomplete or missing registration information. We're not sure what to do about these tags, but we're not going to delete them straight away. If your tag is in this list, please contact one of the admins and claim your tag.
Any issues for the OFPEC Tags database should be posted in this topic.

The results are in!
OFPEC received 16 entries to the setPos Competition, and a good job was done by all! Of the 16 entries, there were 6 that achieved really high scores from our judges. All the bases were well thought out and it's pretty evident that a lot of time was spent on each and every one!
