OFPEC change of staff

Sadly, Wolfsbane has decided to retire after about a year and a half of service to the OFP community He'll be well remembered and sorely missed, and we all wish him good luck in his RL endevours.

I have stepped up to the role of OFPEC Administrator, managing the site into 2003 and beyond. Toadlife has taken over the Editors Depot.

My Goal

My goal is to stabilise the site, with all depots working, by the end of June. Then, the site will run itself until the pending release of OFP 2 or Independance Lost or whatever, when we reassess the situation and rebuild if we need to.

Bascially, I want to finish the site, once and for all, by half way through this year. No more pages down, no more submissions stuffing up, just rock solid reliability.

There will be some changes to the way some of the depots work: the addons depot will be heavily modified by Hubba (the dude who owns the server), and the missions depot will be re-done so that missions can be accessed and reviewed by the public.

Thanks Wolfsbane.    You did a great job, not least holding everthing together during the refit last year.   We'll miss you. :'(

snYpir, if we have to lose Wolfbaby then you're the man we want.     You did a superb job on the Ed Depot - I know, I was there - and your plan for the future is the right one.    For what it's worth you have my full support.    

Toadlife is already doing a grand job in the Ed Depot,   so there will be no handover problems there.

Sad to see WB go. He proved to be a man with great skills of organizition during the build up of OFPEC Mk II.
But if there's anyone to replace him it's snYpir. And not a better man to take over snYpirs old job than Toadie.
