AI and flares

How can I get the AI to fire flares, or ever just make them appear to come outta the ground with a trigger. I've looked through this site intensively and can only find things with Game Logic, or writing or editing a script, neither of which I understand  :D

Just take your time at some beginner tutorials for scripting, then take some time to look at the script and you should be able to make something out of it. dl a flare script (I think there are 2 on ofpec) and try to see what you can make out of it. There is also a way with triggers but don't know that right now :D

Look in the weapon and ammo list in the Ed Depot for the names of other types of flare.

Alternatively, use camcreate

_flare1 = "flarered" camcreate getpos gameLogic_1

Syntax not guaranteed.   You'll need to setPos the gamelogic to the right place.    Look in the Command references and search the forums to learn more about these commands.   It's not difficult, a little investment of time and your mission will work perfectly :)
