anyone thought of doing a OFP editing for dummies book;D  geared for morons like me who have no idea to get what they need to do and lack the understanding to figure out stuff in the scripts?

I have but I think that it's already been done. By opening the official command reference and to another window a n00b tutorial from the editors depot you WILL learn  ;)

I'm delighted to report that it's already been done, its in the Editors Depot (link at the top of ths page) and its a section called "Getting started."

Your best bets are snYpir's "OFPEC Guide:  Mission Editing" and "macguba's guide to mission editing for beginners" (he suggested humbly).     Then go play in the Mission Editor.

Edit:  here's the link to download mine, which was written especially for people liike you.   The zip is 12k.
