Hide personal pictures!

Some of you may have noticed a glitch in the matrix earlier (an error caused by me screwing with the code).

Well...

You can now turn off the display of personal pictures if you wish!

This dramatically speeds up the loading time of message displays.

Go to your profile (the profile button is above the Hey, bloggsy, you have ? messages, ? are new.).

Check the box where it says Hide personal pictures:
and then click the Change Profile button at the bottom of the profile page.

Too easy! Faster loading pages!

(fine print) this will not turn off the display of my avatar *hehe*

go to http://www.ofpec.com/yabbse/index.php?action=viewprofile;user=Knut+Erik and click modify. You'll find a place in your profile options called "I have my own pic". Check that box and write the url of the place where your picture is.
The picture size should be limited so not every pic will do.


Btw I've noticed folks having different sized avatars lately.. What exactly are the allowed dimensions?

The url on my computer? Like D:\mypictures\pic
And witch format does it need to be in. Bmp, jpg, jepg??

Not possible. You need to upload your picture to a server that allows mirror linking. If you have a homepage somewhere you could put your picture in there and then type that url in your profile.

For example I have http://ofptf.ofprc.net/Artak/img/imagename.jpg
(ok so for some reason my avatar doesn't show up, but that's because it has wrong dimensions I think)
