Anyone interested in ingame video script?
« on: 14 May 2011, 02:50:05 »
Some of you may remember me from the past. I have some new exclusive scripts.

I now go under the name of gooncorp and I am part of 1ID (ROCKSTEEL and OTHERS).

I have a script that allows you to play video in game.  Just wondering if this is of value to anyone.

either no one reads this or no one is interested. whatever.

Gooncorp.

Yeah I'm very interested in that ability. So could you supply a download link for it  ;)

Either way if it's a resource than it belongs on the other board, make a new topic in the Resource beta testing & submission board and we'll take a look at it.
I've got 'em right where I want 'em - surrounded from the inside!

Looks great!

So it works without the BIS function module and call? Where can I find this script? See no link in this thread.

Also I wonder if there are any instructions on how to make a video fit seemlessly on the screen, meaning adapting to widescreen or not, when wanted. Cinemaborder solves some issues, but not all.

Last question is how one can really reduce the size of a video file, now: 1 minute = 10 MB = impossible in Multiplayer.

And I looked and beheld a pale horse and his name that sat on him was Death and Hell followed with him.

I fail to see the purpose of this thread.

There is no editing question to be seen anywhere so this doesn't really belong to this board section, then there is no download link so this doesn't belong to the resource beta testing & submission board.

So that leaves advertising which is forbidden here..

The thread would me more helpful if you  point people on how to do it , its not new or exclusive thing to play videos since PMC .

the compression and other things to prevent LAG information is whats needed  not  simple  script  play massive video .

anway heres Wiki entries for  Videos .

 http://community.bistudio.com/wiki/Dialogs#Videos

for playing the .ogv file in a msiion folder  i believe its as simple as adding

 _played = ["nameofilm.ogv"] spawn bis_fnc_playVideo.

I love ofp
