I can script so that AI keeps their-selves away from the burning fire...
(And it is in my todo list for my fire script(the one i mentioned earlier))
:)

Just to inform you about it.....you choose what you like...

:)

The indicator smoke is pretty simple.
I will experiment with the smoke to simulate aftermath of forest fire tonight as i haven't done any tiny particles yet)

But i believe i'll get it to work.
and glad to hear that your mission is SP(as i don't have much experience on MP things)

Haroon -
Just run the example, works wonderfully! Took me a moment or two to get the hang of the night-time glow, until I realised where the colour came from. Is it possible to change the colour of the lights source in0editor or is that really a matter of dropping out to the script to make changes?
Caught me by suprise the first time I ran the test - the tractor that catches fire blew up!  :o
Turns out it was a random glitch to do with the speed you set it flying at, it didn't happen on repeat.

Creating little trails of smoke might reduce performance.
(I've tested it yesterday)

I found that i was using just ONE color array as the default color for the fire.
The fire looked a bit unreal. So i've been tweaking with it.

I hope i will be able to UPLOAD it tomorrow, with the smoke script.

and i also found that BRIGHT colored fires that looked beautiful at daytime might be unrealistic at night time.
(As it's too bright at night)

So i've created four colorarrays.
Code: [Select]
bright daytime
bright nighttime
dark daytime
dark nighttime

You will just need to tell the script whether you want "Bright" or "Dark".  :D
And the script will determine whether it's night or day and automaticall use the respective profile/array.  ;)

I think it is becoming more complex. :D

But the more realistic your mission is,the more the people will like it.

Tell me if there's anything you want me to do with the scripts. ;)

  ooo codes...  :o
Yeah, it's not quite the simple A1 code anymore is it!? Kinda hope I can get the rest of the mission up to a matching standard now....

As I run on an old(ish) computer and already have a mod making smoke/fire effects more detailed I'd rather avoid too big a performance hit from the smoke script if possible please.

The particle commands are almost the same as A1 (the shapename and a few others just changed)

So you don't want to make little trails of smokes anymore? right?

Well, actually, i didn't quite understand what you meant in your last post.

You want to fire script to be less complex?
I only know that you want me to make a smoke script that doesn't cause big performance hit.

I was thinking about adding sparks to the fire script.
(but i think you don't want anymore effects in it ,if i've read your last post correctly)

No need to simplifiy the fire script, I like it just fine :) Sparks would be interesting if they can be done without to much of a performance hit.  :good:

As I use the smoke script for background and immersion it's that one that would be best kept simple please.

Sorry if I occasionally get a bit confusing, I'm told I love the sound of my own voice  ;)
