Arma2 tools are out
« on: 14 Aug 2009, 15:48:30 »
I guess this thread is a good place to anounce the BI tools for arma2 have been released.
this is the defining moment for the community regarding any BIS game in my opinion.

I hope to see as much original and quality work as there is New and not so perfect work, the series really needs new blood .
 the important part

Good luck to all lets hope they produce as much fun as ever .

Seems odd that the tools are not backward compatible, in the sense that they (supposedly) can't make objects for A1?

But, glad to have them.

Have some models I've been waiting to finish in O2.

Web pages have never been my strong Point ;). iwrote a two hour tute here and tried to save and my login expired lol.dont wanna break anythig.

Hmm i am not ranting here , but it seems beyond all reason that they have not released some refference material like mlods and unbinarised rvmats for materials and such, i am not sure i can use the tools without these  and the config.cpp in the Bin on P and in binarize seems to be missing alot of defines such as the clutters for V3 :(.
so i wait .
this was an after thought in Arma1 so i expected BIS to realise there necessity this time or am i being over expectant ?.
However i have opened some FSM`s in the new editor and that looks a nice piece of kit.
