Hmm, does the config.cpp in a model addon define where it appears in the editor. Say under OPFOR or Independent? Or is this done elsewhere?

I am asking because I want to change it with a couple of addons.

Under cfgVehicles there is a token property called side (Link to Biki CfgVehicles Config Reference) that determines to which side (if any) a vehicle belongs.  I believe this is what you are looking for (but there are other factors that decide if a vehicle object appears in the editor).
