ECP - odd sounds while moving
« on: 29 May 2007, 04:50:09 »
I just installed ECP (including the patch) with all the options... set my override to high, and enabled blood.

Now, whenever I move on foot, I hear a distant 'crackling' sound. It sounds kind of like holding a seashell up to your ear.

It is driving me nuts! I think its a sound that was replaced, as I have always heard a slight rustling-kind of noise whenever I would move.

... I would rather just have that sound gone and just hear footsteps, as anyone moving seems to be doing this.

Any leads?

Got it! in DynamicRange.pbo, People\soldiermoving.wss is the culprit.

Replaced with a 1 second .wav of silence in the same format, converted to wss did it! My sanity is safe!

Please, do not double post

If you have something to add to your post after a short period of time (we'd prefer that about 3 days should pass), edit your post instead of replying to yourself.

Whoops! Sorry!

Long day at work, forgot my forum etiquette.
