I do not have that kind of problem, kju.
If you see a light at the end of the tunnel, then it's probably an enemy tank.

all threads are marked 'seen' once I leave

Actually, they aren't.

The 'new posts' button at the top right of the forum provides (as mentioned further up this thread) a list of all new posts made since your last visit. It doesn't say 'all unread posts'. If you visit one of these 10 threads and then go back to the list, there will be 9 left. If you leave the site then come back later, those 9 threads will not be displayed. This is the way it's meant to work, and not a bug.

However, if you want a list of all unread posts regardless of your last visit, use this link. If there's enough of a demand for this function, we'll add it to the buttons.

To answer your other questions: there are currently no plans to introduce RSS feeds for sub-forums; I'm not sure what you mean by filtering sub-forums; we're well aware of the development of Simple Machines Forum software and don't require reminders, thanks anyways.  :good:

Thanks bedges  :good:
Exactly what I was looking for.

What I find strange that some people (claim) to have the different
behavior by default (unread;all). Is this a configuration in the profile  ???

In terms of RSS. I am not interested in OFP nor missions threads.
Only scripting, configs, overall modding and general topics.

Right now I can only follow the complete forum via RSS, right?
As the rss items do not contain the sub-forum in some way,
I can neither filter them myself.

In a more general perspective as I left the BIF once and for all
and do plan to follow the OFPEC regularly again, it is very frustrating
not to find the comfort I am used to from other forums / places.

To summarize the two main points: least time spent do accomplish
it and only follow what I am interested in.

Cheers.

PS: My SMF2 forum has 'Show unread posts since last visit.' and
'Show new replies to your posts.' as button from the default settings.

Bug report.

I was contacted by member Lone-Wolf with a PM. When I tried to reply the automatically added recipient Lone-Wolf couldn't be found. My own member search only returned user name Lone Wolf so i used that one. I hope he is the right guy. :)

These two are better in the PBO tools section I'd vote:

[OFPRes] Make PBO by Amalfi

[OFPRes] PBO decryptor by Amalfi

[OFPRes] PBO decryptor by Amalfi
http://www.ofpec.com/ed_depot/index.php?action=details&id=154&page=0

That's usually a great easy-to-use tool, but I haven't had success with decrypting all PBOs with it. I'd send in an example but my computer seems to be acting strangely.

EDIT: Here's an example

dumpConfig.utes.7z.
You cannot upload that type of file. The only allowed extensions are doc, gif, jpg, mpg, pdf, png, txt, zip, rar, sqs, sqf, ext, htm, html, xls,.

I think I've asked this before, but cannot find it.
Why do you not support 7z?

Hi

I wanted to post a comment to: http://www.ofpec.com/intel_depot/index.php?action=read_on&id=394

Indeed, I did so. Twice. Because after I post a comment it gives me some error message that something can't be found... well I didn't try to find anything so the message was very confusing and I thought my message didn't get posted so I did it again. Then later I noticed the first message had gone through.

Now I did a "Test." message and this is what it gives after I have clicked 'Save comment':

Unfortunately we can't find anything matching that search.

Try a different search term, or alternatively use the menu on the right to find what you're looking for.

I could swear that this briefing tutorial from snYpir contained an actual tutorial with detailed descriptions of how to create sub-sections, how to put pictures in briefing, etc. The download description seems to support my memory.

However, the zip package contains only two briefing.html files and nothing else. Is part of the file missing? ???
