Ideas For Submission Guidelines
« on: 19 Aug 2005, 22:27:44 »
Ok, as the title suggests this topic is to gather tips and guidlines for Beta Addon Submission authors.

What is considered the best things to do and what is to be avoided when submitting an addon onto this board for beta testing.

Post your ideas and suggestions in this topic.
Eventually this will then be condensed and re-written into a proper 'Guidelines' sticky for this board.

well i suppose most of it is just common sense

- try to include a small demo mission showing what the addon does best if ts a chopper put some tanks down, if its infantry quickly add a few freindly and enemy groups of infantry on a map

- Dont use anymore addons then you have to

- Add more than 1 download link since some people like me have problems with rapid share

- Add a small summary about the addon
including - What it is (is it a soldier from the american or british army for example)
               - What it includes like anything special
               - A list of changes from version to version
etc etc

- Maybe a few pictures to tempt people to download your addon and test it

there still may be more i dont actually test addons but i may start doing so if this small addon im working on is a succes
but anyway hope any of that helps

Well, I need to thank everyone for their suggestions.

Actually, I only need to thank 456820 in this particular case.

Thanks 456820.

Thanks also to everyone else anyway.   ;D
