Truly Dynamic Campaigns

Hiho,
Don't know if any of you play IL-2 Sturmovik or, maybe Gunship 2000.
They did have a random Campaign/Campaign(Missiomn) Generators. You get a rather random mission,
then the Frontlines advances or retreates etc. Next mission will be based
on the advances...and so it goes on forever.
Theoretically this should be possible in OFP also. Make a mission that can go
anywhere on the map...maybe have a few different types of missions:
Attack
Defend
Ambush
Protect convoy

However I'm not totally sure how much scripting would have to go into it.
The basic setup for the 4 Types should be rather easy. Define alot of possible places on
the map where this could be. Setpos it accordingly. (A lot of work here...little scripting)
Determain a shif in the frontlines (probably a fitting a polygon through a fwe predefined points)
Pick a point near the frontlines...there you go.

Ideas, and feedback anybody.

I like how its all random but, it'd get kinda boring I think doing the same kind of mission like if you only have four types.

1st mission= shoot down 3 AH64s, 1 uh60

2nd mission = kill 4 trucks, 2 tanks

 :P

Although different places may help but evetually they run out too...

There aren't that many different kinds of missions in a war anyway, they're basically variations on the same theme.
"Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming 'WOW What a Ride!'"

Okay,
lets make an example:
an Attack mission.

You could attack a village or an important landmark (i.e. hill or something).
Let's go with the hill.

Friendly support:
Arty, Air support fixed wing, Air support Rotary wing, Tanks Infantry, Mech Infantry
Lets go with Arty and other Mech Infantry

Opposition:
Arty, Air support fixed wing/rotary, Tanks, Infantry, Mech Infantry

Lets go with Some tanks and Mech Infantry

Knowledge:
We don't know everything. Okay, if we would know there are tanks we wouldn't attack without
tanks of our own. So lets say we know the approx # of Infantry and have some more inf
of our own.

Plan:
Simply attack under Arty cover, along a line with 3-5 groups

Now lets lay the same location out a little different.
We got Tanks, and Mech Infantry
They got lots of Infantry and Arty support
however we know the opposition (just not the Arty)
right that doesn't sound too different

Or another variation:
We have no idea what the opposition is.
(anything from a Squad to 5 Squads with APCs and Tanks to 1 Squad)
We are moving with 1 or 2 Squads.
We'll that would basically make a scout mission... or stuff that into a different type

Additional types:
Scout
Combat Patrol
Patrol/Guard

I'm currently think that player would be infantry of some sort (what OFP is best in)
