This setunitpos "up"

Problem solved.

I would add this for about half the units, i mean, you dont want everyone running and you dont want everyone crawling, but you dont want nobody crawling...... :)

hey

As i've promised there is a picture attached to this but I'm only going to give you one otherwise knowing my luck i'll be accused of advertising and this link will be shut down... :-\
That picture is very early in the making and more things have been added since I took it but thats all your going to get!    :P

I saw the D-day script in the ed depot but decided to write my own and it works pretty well so I'm happy with it.

I do use the setunitpos, a lot of animations and the setcaptive command to keep alive and kill the unlucky ones.

Each unit has his own particurler set of scripts to work through and a lot of the commands are done at random.

I really need a good map of the exit at Omaha Dog Red to show me where the machine gunners were persitioned a long it, if anyone has a link to one could they please send it to me and i would be very grateful...    ;D

Any one got any ideas for the mission and then please post them!!!   8)

63 individual soldiers per side would actually lag, but if u put them into groups of 2 it would cut down on lag.

Use stuff like:
Code: [Select]
_bomb = "bomb" camcreate getpos boatname
_bomb setdammage 1
to blow up the boats

Man you are such a liar  :tomato:  I'll have my gun ready. :gunman:

Could you list ALL the addons you will be using? And links.

And do you need me to make a script to get the mgs to fire everywhere? I'm sure I could do it without invisible target addons. :booty:

I will list the addons Im using so far but more I've no doubt will be added... sorry but you want it to be realistic don't you?!

Addons:

Inv44 Demo
WWIIEC D-Day U.S. Army Pack 1.0
D-Day Memorial Pack
Pertti49s beta Omaha Island.... This will be updated later on becuase the final version is due for release later this month.
GFX07 bunkers (hope I've done your name right... if not im sorry  :-\)
Some addons that i will get the mane of and post later on...

hey

Guys please, if anyone does have a link to a map, i would really appreciate it... :)

I have made most of the defences now and they are looking pretty good.   ;D

I would really like you to suggest any ideas for a hidden objective, that would really add to the mission. :)

Hey,

It would be cool if the landing forces would have to disembark under heavy altilery fire

second ogjective could be to take out an artilery battery stationed 500m from the beach :D

hey

Yeah thanks for the idea I just need the layout of the area where the batterys were   :)

btw has anyone read a book called D-Day by Stephen E. Ambrose?

because I was looking at some of the maps of where the beaches were and he said that Dog Reds exit was next to St laurent, now I've got another book by this guy called Stephen Chicken,  ::), and he says the Dog Red exit was next to Vierville...... :-\

Now Im gonna have to jump into the shoes of a girl I no and say "im confused...",

Does anyone else know which one is right???

hey

Thanks m8... Could you possibly send me that map if its on ur comp of of course  ::)

Unfortunatly the mission won't be released for a while, I am trying to get it to be realistic and I don't want to rush it and be crap, I'm still working on getting the beach obsticles to be accurate in positioning... :-\
