Paypal can transfer directly from your bank account. That's how paypal transers funds when I donate. Dunno if you have to have a creadit card to sign up for paypal though.

You do. I think you have to have an ATM card for proof of the account. Not sure.

But an ATM card is not a credit card. If you have a checking account, you have an ATM card (at least with every bank I've dealt with)
