Has the procedure changed?

sorry Sui.... not getting at you here  ;)

a while back i started a thread here asking if it would be ok to ask SOP (standard operating procedure) questions and realism questions for missions somewhere in the forums, or make a new forum...

the reply was to ask such questions in the General Editing Forum... has that stance changed now, since the link does show such a question (once again Sui, not getting at u)

cheers

sorry... i was mistaken... no action was ever agreed on about this matter... snYpir said it was a valid point, but no admin has said yes or no about it yet...

this place is an editing site, to help people create the best missions out there.... but with all the veterans, and military personel we have among us (some of the BAS team to name a few) why not let us tap such an amazing resource to help us create better missions, with more realistic mission objectives, briefings etc?

since the mission depot sometimes comments on bad or unrealistic missions, briefings etc, then shouldnt we allow people on the site to ask questions on such things?

although, SAS will probally end up with flaming, since i doubt any1 here could say 100% any SOP they have.  ;)

Erm, Messiah, did you ever read the thread? It was locked because it was not a question (which Sui clearly has pointed out). Where's the difference to our usual procedures here?

IMHO

I suggest that KJAM sends this Nice gesture to the Intel depot!   ;)  (only if you want to, KJAM)

I think it's kool that the community has people that just offer their help up!

Indeed Messy...

As Sefe said, it was the nature of the post rather than it's content...

It was an advertisement, not a mission idea or discussion of tactics ;)
It's a good candidate for the Intel Depot, perhaps I should have pointed that out...

It's great for people to share their knowledge, but they have to do it within the rules and structure of our forums (which we try to point out to new people...).
Rest assured there's reasoning in our madness... we don't lock threads because it's fun (contrary to popular belief ;D), only when it's necessary...

If it's a question and it's an information you need for your mission/addon, you can post it.
