Title: Removing map objects?
Post by: The-Architect on 28 Aug 2008, 16:33:46
Is there a quick and easy way for someone (me) to open up an existing map and delete a few hundred objects, then pack it up again and use it?

Possible or do I need to really learn the tools to do this?

Questions first ...
"Existing map"? You mean a project that you have started or someone else map?
If its your project I'd obviously say yes, but if its someone elses project (including BIS), unless you have their development files (.pew file for a start), there is nothing you can do as I understand it. Its not possible to reverse engineer through typical methods / tools.

Aye, not really possible unless you have the .pew and will then repack it all up and binarize it again with edits.

It is the BIS Sahrani file I wanted to adjust. I wanted to half the amount of trees. So you guys reckon the .pew file isn't available?

I doubt you will ever get your paws on BI's sahrani .pew file, good luck if you want to try and ask for it.   ;)
