I want to make some missions like that.

They had a couple of cool mission ideas..

Also they had a cool scoring system...

Yea, I remember 'combat missions' kicked ass. Some of those missions would be pretty hard though. Can't quite remember the numbers for them, but the indoor ones. Flashpoint doesn't seem to like CQB, but the others should work fine.

I've thought about doing this as a series of Co-Op missions, but I'm still endeavoring on a project for Jedi Knight 2.

And for you who haven't seen it 'Combat Missions' was a television show on USA (or Bravo in England) where United States Military and SWAT teams (From LA, Miami, NY, those kinds of cities) were grouped into 4 teams. Those 4 teams went on missions competing against each other. The enemies "Shadow Squad" were, as far as I know, also extremely skilled soldiers who fought against each team (via MILES  ;) ). Whoever lost the missions (and two teams could loose, it used a tree style system to dictate who fights who) had to discharge one soldier and pick a new one. Eventually though they had to discharge a soldier and just be short one soldier (About week 4 or 5???? I forget..).  All in all, it was pretty cool. Hope that enlightens you a bit on what 'Combat Missions' were.

So basically..... Highly skilled soldiers wasting their time by using up loads of money to play out fake conflicts on a TV show rather than actually work on being... well..... soldiers.

Only in America....  I don't think we'd have the money for that!

Besides if they're retired and still have that much energy they'd be so much more useful as advisors/training staff.

OK, straying from OFP related stuff now.  better stop

We often feel the same about you.  ;)

I'm not sure all of them were retired.  If you think about it, the US special forces does those kinds of missions on a regular basis for traning purposes.  So really, I doubt that it hurt much to take a few troops from their normal traning and just have them train with video cameras watching them.

I know, I'm just stirring!  Also supplies the forces with a lot of much needed cash.  Brit military should do the same - they're incredibly ill-funded

Yeah, I watch almost all of them....

Some were retired, some were not.

Most people can only stand like 5 or 6 years of service anyway.

They also had RUDY.  The gay Navy Seal from Survivor.

For the CQF (Close Quarter Fighting)
utilized by SWAT (Special Weapons something something)

I bet you could use Resistances new buildings... and stuff right?

It might be tough ..

Plus, I don't know where you are are gonna get the flashbangs?

Do they have flashbang addons?

Plus how would you simulate carrying someone?

I never figured that one out either..

They had to carry like injured soldiers and stuff..

Also,
its it possible to add numbers to a truck?

In one mission they have truck # 12 and truck # 21...

You could do the "recon the meth lab" mission easily.  I already made a "Ambush the right truck at a certain checkpoint" mission and a "Warehouse raid" mission.

its CQB (close quarters battle)

SWAT = special weapons and tactics

yes they do have flashbang (stun grenades) and stt made flshbangs for his deltas - needed a script to 'stun' the enemy.

Yeah, You can place guys inside some of them apartments and stuff if you have resistance.(did that once with my clan then cleared it out with a handgun, pretty fun) But most of it is all in the design of the level. If you have the time to mess with it you can craft your own buildings out of sandbags and pallets.
