Title: Laptop Computers
Post by: laggy on 22 Aug 2004, 23:16:06
Hi and thank you for a great site !

No so called experts have been able to answer the following question, and you out there are my last resort.

I bought a brand new Laptop computer (2.8 Ghz, ATI Mobility Radeon 9000 IGP -128MB-) but even though the performance is much better than my old stationary computer... it lags in a weird "update way" ( Not because of number of units on map but as it seems from the "enviroment graphics" update when you move around, or look around.

Is this an unavoidable problem on Laptops (some of my friends have the same problem) or is it fixable.

Hope someone answers... My life depends upon it. :'(

Did you run the Flashpoint Preferences program before running the game?

If not, try it.

Press the Autodetect button for it to set the best display device automatically for you.

It might be better to take this over to the official forums.......troubleshooting board, as this is an editing only site.

Okay thanks

Yes, I know this was an OFF Topic, but I had to try.
Taking this to www.Flashpoint1985.com forum you mean ?

I'll try the preferences again, and will be back in 5 minutes.

Thanks alot

I'm checking out the other forum and found some answers that might help.
Won't bug this site with more technical questions.

laggy,

Never post a question when you know it's off topic. Deliberately posting off topic questions is the best way to get banned from this site. This is not a techniacal support board and has never been. Stick to this rule and everything will be fine.
