I'm not sure if this is a new "feature" of the editors depot now that the website is back. But I (and two others) can't seem to download anything from the editors depot due to refferer problems. Instead of the file, we get the http://ofpec.com/nolinking.php page.
Now this would make sense to stop leechers etc from nicking the bandwidth, but not when you click the link in the ed deopt. Yes, refferer and private header settings are being sent (I double checked just to be sure) but still cant get a download.
Is this a new "feature" to reduce bandwidth costs, or a glitch?

Have you paid attention to what the page says? Because the problem is most likely with your computer. Check that your firewall is set up to accept everything from OFPEC. Using NIS here and I used to get the same error before I actually did what the page says. ;)

I knew someone was going to suggest this. Which is why I wrote; " Yes, refferer and private header settings are being sent (I double checked just to be sure)". I'm not computer illiterate, I know how to setup my firewall and IE settings. As I said I double checked everything to allow refferer headers. It works on other websites, but 3 people who have the settings correct can't get the ofpec to download. To me that hints at a error on the website.

Please tell me where the link is, and we'llcheck it out. It's probably a download initiated via javascript - which with IE sends a blank referer. If this is the case, then it will work with mozilla but not IE.

Well I first noticed it with the PBO tools in the EdDepot.
http://ofpec.com/editors/browse.php?browseon=&browsewhat=-1&catselected=-1_-1&catagory=-1&subcategory=-1_-1&numreturn=25&displayformat=0&ofpv=1&searchwhat=1&searchlevel=0&searchwhat=1&searchopts=&searchstring=depbo (http://ofpec.com/editors/browse.php?browseon=&browsewhat=-1&catselected=-1_-1&catagory=-1&subcategory=-1_-1&numreturn=25&displayformat=0&ofpv=1&searchwhat=1&searchlevel=0&searchwhat=1&searchopts=&searchstring=depbo)
But on further investigation, the same happens with every download I tried via the EdDepot.

Woah...fix that link. ;)
THe problem is simple. THe url you are using to browse OFPEC is "ofpec.com" instead of "www.ofpec.com". THis of course can be easily fixed by HUBBa on the server side (and it WILL be), but until then please put in "www.ofpec.com" instead of "ofpec.com" in your address bar and you should be able to download just fine. :)
Let me know if it doesn't work.
