What this FAQ covers

This is a list of frequently asked questions concerning general single-player mission editing and scripting for Operation Flashpoint. The advice given here is based on the assumption that you have a grasp of the basics - i.e. how to place a unit or group on the map, how to save and preview a mission, etc.

The FAQ will cover topics like enhancing the abilities of units and groups, tips on better mission editing, guides on how to construct overviews and briefings and general advice on how to make scripts.

What this FAQ does not cover

This FAQ will not cover Addons, Maps, Multiplayer missions or Campaigns. There are some good tutorials on these in the Editors Depot.

How to use this FAQ

Use the links along the top of the page to choose a category into which your question might fall. For example, if you want to know how to light a fire in Flashpoint, click on 'Objects'. If you want to know how to get a unit to crouch down next to a fire as if he's lighting it, click on 'Units'.
